What is a Boudoir session?
A Boudoir session is simply a photo shoot for any woman who wants intimate, sexy, sensual photos of themselves, either for themselves or for a loved one. These usually take place wearing lingerie, but that isn’t the only option. Some sessions include implied nudity as well, but it’s all dependent on YOUR level of comfort. While lingerie is suggested, there are lots of other options that can be very sexy too. Your favorite pair of jeans and a black tank top, a sweater that drops off one shoulder, or a sexy dress are all great options too.
What is a Beauty and Glamour Session?
A Beauty and Glamour Session is simply a session that showcases you, at your best! This is a chance to pull out a favorite glam dress, dressy outfit, or anything you desire. It’s a fun session where you are free to be glamorous and have fun, and see yourself in a different light. It’s a chance to celebrate you!
What is a session like?
Alter Ego Imaging wants to provide you with a safe, intimate environment for your session. You will be photographed by a female photographer, in my private studio. (On-location sessions are available as well.) Your comfort is very important, so feel free to bring along a girlfriend to help put you at ease, and cheer you on. We’ll turn on some music, get to know each other, talk about what you have in mind for your session, and just have fun with it!
Do I have to have the perfect body for Boudoir?
Of course not! My job is to pose and light you in a way that makes you look amazing. All shapes and sizes are beautiful and sexy!
What should I wear for Boudoir?
The sky is the limit! I suggest bringing along several pairs of underwear (black works best) and a good supportive bra, but otherwise, use your imagination! Your favorite lingerie, your guy’s tie or sports jersey, your sexiest little black dress, or just your favorite jeans! Don’t forget some sexy high heels, and accessories to finish the look. I do keep some pearls, and few other odds and ends in the studio, but it’s always best to bring items you know fit well, and make you feel sexy.
I also recommend bringing along any props that you might want to include in your session. Some ladies bring a jersey from their significant others favorite team, a guitar, you name it. Anything that will make your images YOURS.
What should I wear for a Beauty and Glamour session?
Again, it’s completely up to you! An elegant ball gown, a sexy cocktail dress, a business suit, a corset and a fluffy skirt, or just a blinged out shirt and black pants. This is about you, and what you want to be. I do keep some costuming in the studio for client use as well.
What should I do before I arrive for my session?
Unless you are having your hair and make-up done by a professional at my studio (call me for suggestions and pricing), you should arrive with your hair and make-up done. Apply make-up a little darker than you would normally wear it, for the best look in your finished portraits. Of course there will be time for any necessary touch-ups in studio, but being ready before you arrive ensures plenty of time in front of the camera.
Will anyone else see my portraits?
No. Not unless you give me express written permission. Every woman you see pictured here has given me permission to use her images.
What is a Fine Art Styled Session?
A Fine Art Session is a session based around a theme or idea. It has a complex set built specifically for that idea, and special costuming so you can portray that idea to the fullest. This is a completely customized portrait set, and it can be a LOT of fun! If you are looking for one-of-a-kind artwork for your walls, a Fine Art session is JUST what you’re looking for.
What is a Boudoir party?
A boudoir party is an evening filled with fun and friends, and some great photography too! Get 5-9 of your closest friends together at my studio for a one-of-a-kind experience.
